I needed to try the new McDonalds Donut Sticks! I’ll tell you now that they are not good. So let’s make our own gourmet McDonalds donut sticks… They are a LOT better!

Making the Mcdonalds Donut Sticks Beter

You'll Need...

  • 2 Cups AP flour
  • 1 Eggs
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1/8th cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk warmed to 90º
  • 2 1/4 table dry yeast
  • tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Directions

  1. Heat milk to 90º
  2. Pour milk and sugar into mixing bowl and add yeast
  3. let bloom for 5 minuts
  4. melt butter
  5. add everything to a stand mixer
  6. mix on medium speed for 3 minutes
  7. oil, cover and let stand for 1 hour to double in size
  8. roll out on floured work surface
  9. cut into fries strips
  10. cover and let stand for 1 hour
  11. heat veg oil in skillet to 360º
  12. fry constantly flipping until golden brown
  13. remove and let cool on cooling rack
  14. cover in cinnamon and sugar mix
